An accountancy firm that only works with construction
We set Taxtful up because contractors were being served by accountants who didn't know the sector, and it was costing them money.
Why we only do construction
Most accountancy firms have a client list that runs from dentists to dog groomers. That breadth means the person doing your accounts has probably seen one or two construction companies, and is learning CIS and reverse charge on your time.
We made a decision early on to only take construction clients. It means every person on the team has done a hundred CIS returns, knows what a retention ledger should look like, and has argued with HMRC about subcontractor status. It also means our quarterly reviews are benchmarked against businesses that look like yours.
Our clients are contractors, subcontractors, developers, civils and M&E businesses turning over between £1m and £15m. That's the stage where the numbers get complicated enough to matter and the business is still small enough that the owner is making every decision.
Our values
Grow
We challenge convention and think ahead. We're a fast-growing business ourselves, and we want the same for our clients.
Straightforward
We're the experts, and sometimes that means telling you something you'd rather not hear. We do it because it's in your interest, and because trust is the only basis for a long relationship.
It's personal
Success is more than hitting financial targets. We get to know you and your business so we can help with the broader goals, not just the tax bill.
Relentless
We hold ourselves to a high standard, we hit deadlines, and we go further than we need to when it gets a better result for you.
The team
Small on purpose. Every client has a named accountant and a named bookkeeper, and Chris in the room for the quarterly review.
Chris NeumanFounderAccountant, business owner, and the person who'll be on your first call. Built Taxtful because contractors were paying for accounts nobody acted on.
WesConstruction leadCame to Taxtful from the contractor side of the table, so he reads a tender, an application and a retention schedule the way you do, not the way an accountant does.
BenClient teamRuns onboarding and the month-end rhythm: records in, CIS filed by the 19th, Taxtful View out within ten working days.
