Annual compliance
Year-end accounts and tax returns, with the planning done before the year ends rather than after.
Tax planning three months before year-end
Around three months before your year-end we sit down with a forecast of the year and agree what to do: timing of plant purchases for capital allowances, pension contributions, dividend versus salary, whether to accelerate or defer work in progress, and whether an R&D claim is worth making. By the time the year closes, the corporation tax bill is already known.
Statutory accounts
Limited company and LLP accounts prepared under FRS 102 or 105, with long-term contracts, retentions and WIP accounted for properly. Accounts are drafted within eight weeks of year-end and filed at Companies House once you've approved them.
Corporation tax
Computation and CT600, including capital allowances on plant, vehicles and site equipment, super-deduction and full-expensing where available, and R&D relief claims where the work qualifies (more of it does in construction than most people think: groundworks, temporary works design and new build methods are common examples).
Directors' personal tax
Self-assessment for directors and shareholders, aligned with the company's dividend plan so nothing is paid twice or missed.
Everything else
- Confirmation statements and Companies House filings
- P11D and benefits in kind (vans and fuel are the usual ones)
- CIS annual reconciliation and any year-end reclaim
- Registered office and company secretarial, if you need it
