How we handle your data on this website, and the terms we work to.
Privacy: this website
Taxtful is the trading name of Taxtful Consulting Ltd (company 13113394), registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZA845599. Our full privacy policy, covering how we handle client data in the course of accountancy and tax work, is at taxtful.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy. This page covers the website specifically.
What this site collects
Only what you type into a form: your name, company, email, phone and the answers you give (for example your Foundation Score answers, quick-quote answers, or an application for Forever Fixed). Forms are handled by Netlify, our hosting provider, and the submissions are emailed to us and stored in our client systems.
Why, and on what basis
To reply to you, to send you what you asked for (a score breakdown, a quote, the book), and to follow up about Taxtful's services where you've asked us to or where we think it's relevant to the enquiry you made. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and your consent where you've subscribed to the newsletter. You can withdraw that at any time by replying "stop" to any email.
Who sees it
Taxtful staff, and the providers we use to run the website and our practice: Netlify (hosting and forms), Microsoft 365 (email and calendar), Karbon (practice management) and Xero (accounting). We never sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries we keep for 24 months, then delete unless you've become a client. Client records are kept for the periods HMRC and our professional body require.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we're using it, by emailing hello@taxtful.co.uk or writing to 4 Cricklade Court, Second Floor, Cricklade Street, Old Town, Swindon SN1 3EY. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk if you're not happy with our answer.
Cookies
This site sets one optional analytics cookie, and only if you click OK on the banner. It tells us which pages people read; it doesn't identify you and isn't used for advertising. Your choice is remembered in your browser. Netlify may set a technical cookie needed to serve the site. Nothing else.
Website terms
The content on this site is general guidance for owners of UK construction businesses. It isn't advice on your circumstances, and tax rates and rules change; check the current position with your accountant before acting on anything here. The free tools give estimates. We own the content and the Taxtful name and logo; you're welcome to share links. We don't accept liability for decisions made on the basis of the site alone.
Terms of business
Our terms of business are set out in each client's engagement letter and the proposal that precedes it. A copy of our standard terms is available on request from hello@taxtful.co.uk.
